IPL 2025 Team List
Chennai Super Kings
One of the most consistent and successful franchises, Chennai Super Kings has won the IPL title five times (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023). They have qualified for the playoffs 12 times in the 14 seasons. MS Dhoni has been a key figure in the team’s success.

Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad revamped their squad for IPL 2025 and entered the auction with a focused strategy to build a well-rounded squad. The 2016 champions retained a strong core of five players, aiming to address recent inconsistencies and return to their title-winning ways.

Punjab Kings
The Punjab Kings, established in 2008, have had a somewhat unpredictable journey in the IPL. While the team has never secured the first-place position, they did finish as runners-up in 2014. In their inaugural season in 2008, the team reached the semi-finals. Despite these promising starts, PBKS has struggled with consistency, often finishing in the bottom half of the league standings. They have finished sixth for multiple seasons. In 2024, PBKS finished ninth, winning 5 out of 14 matches.

Delhi Capitals
Established in 2008, the Delhi Capitals have been a part of the IPL since its inception. The team reached the final stage of the league once, in 2020, where they finished as runners-up. To bolster their chances, DC has added experienced names, including Faf du Plessis and T Natarajan, as well as young players like Jake Fraser-McGurk and Harry Brook. With these additions and a new leadership structure under coach Hemang Badani, DC aims to challenge for their first IPL title in 2025.

Rajasthan Royals
Since their inception in 2008, when they won the IPL, the Rajasthan Royals have made a mark in the IPL. They had a strong showing in 2013, reaching the playoffs. However, their performance has been inconsistent over the years. In the 2024 IPL season, the Rajasthan Royals finished third in the standings with nine wins and six losses out of 16 matches.

Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians are one of the most successful franchises in IPL history, tied with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the most title wins with five. MI has won the IPL title in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. They have also won the Champions League T20 twice, in 2011 and 2013. MI has played CSK 37 times, winning 20 of those matches.

Kolkata Knight Riders
Established in 2008, KKR has won the IPL three times, in 2012, 2014, and 2024. KKR had a positive showing leading up to the 2024 final, with three wins and two ties in their previous five games.

Royal Challengers Bangalore
Royal Challengers Bengaluru, a franchise founded in 2012, is based in Bengaluru. While the team has yet to secure an IPL title, they’ve been runners-up three times (2009, 2011, and 2016) and have reached the playoffs nine times. In 2024, they finished fourth after making a late-season surge. RCB holds the records for both the highest and lowest scores in IPL history.

Gujarat Titans
The Gujarat Titans made an explosive debut in IPL 2022, clinching the title in their inaugural season. They defeated the Rajasthan Royals in the final and became only the second team in IPL history to win the championship in their debut season (after Rajasthan Royals in 2008).

Lucknow Super Giants
The Lucknow Super Giants are a relatively new franchise, founded in 2021. The team demonstrated promise in their initial seasons, qualifying for the playoffs in both 2022 and 2023. In 2024, LSG finished the League stage in 7th place with 7 wins and 7 losses.

List of IPL 2025 Team Players and Team Captains
